Chris Thompson & Mads Eriksen Chris Thompson & Mads Eriksen went to New Zealand in March 2003 with a band to record a CD of music inspired by New Zealand : its beauty, its mystery and its problems. To do this Chris has written a legend that will enable them to address the above with musical themes and songs in concept form. New Zealand talent will be represented by a Maori girl singer (Gail Tipene), The Manu Taki cultural group, King Kapese and others. The documentary of this project was directed by Anita Langthaller. The first week involved travelling around the North Island getting a feel for the beauty and the people and writing musical themes in the evenings. The second week was spent writing and rehearsing at Piha beach & the third week recording at York Street studios in Auckland.
